Title: My Dime Guitars...
Post by: aircooled1 on December 21, 2009, 08:58:56 PM
I've been checking out all of the beautiful Washburn guitars on this forum and thought that I would a share photo of mine.  I'm very found of my other guitars too, but I'll save those for a different place...

I purchased the Boogie Bolt (series 1) from Boogie Street Guitars.  There's no skimping on details and materials.  It's a pleasure to play.  I guess that we can't legally call this a Dime guitar. Shhhhh...

My Slime Dime 333 is frequently used.  It was purchased used, but after some pick-up upgrades and a set-up overhaul, it sort of became my beater guitar.  There seems to be a lot of variation with 333 slime finishes.  I like the way that mine looks.

I picked-up the Culprit from an auction about 6 months before Dime's passing... RIP.  It's diffinately a little unique..

Well.... Keep on keepin' on.........

Hey.. How's it goin'?

The Dime 333 was used and I think that I paid around $350 about 7 years ago. It was in good shape. I don't remember how much the Dimebucker and '59 humbuckers were.  The Boogie Bolt was purchased new at around $1200.

That's a very nice collection you have.

That Culprit looks incredibly mint & clean.

Man...  As much as I would like a diamond plate or st3, I'm just not ready to let it go yet. Thanks for the offer though. I'm surprised that you would consider your diamond plate. I noticed that you got it from the madrocker guy. I might accidentally stab someone with a Stealth while trashing around (kidding of course..LOL). This might actually be my loss, but it's not aways about the $$.

trendkiller86 :  If you're still interested in a Culprit, Ed Roman still has a new one for sale. I know that it's been there for several years and I think that he used to have a higher price tag on it.  Anyways...I purchased from Ed Roman once and had no problems.

The Boogie Bolt from Boogie Street is the youngest member.  There's no skimping on details and materials.  It's a pleasure to play.  I guess that we can't legally call this a Dime guitar. Shhhhh...

My Slime Dime 333 is most frequently used.  It was purchased used, but after some pick-up upgrades and a set-up overhaul, it has become a daily driver for me.

I picked-up the Culprit from an auction about 6 months before Dime's passing... RIP.  It's diffinately a little unique with somewhat of a Gibson Explorer body style. It has great sustain with the stock pick-ups.

Well.... Keep on keepin' on.........

It's interesting to see my posting re-posted. I'm sure that there are a few people that appreciate the ML styling and unique Culprit.

I can't do it. I still a have a thing for it and frequently jam with it. I like a big axe sometimes.

Dude....You seem to really want a Dime guitar. They show up on eBay all the time.

I've already been asked...Definately NO..

To help you out a little....

Jump at that ST-PRO.  I'd buy it, but I'm running out space. I doubt that you'd get a better deal.

What did that one crazy white haired lady used to say??  Stop the INSANITY!!!!

You're not even close to the value of most of the guitars that you're asking about.  I hate say it...  Stick with a 333.

I just acquired my Stealth WESTPRO.  It's basically the same specs as a Stealth Pro with the following exceptions:  original Floyd Rose vs Schaller, no artist (Dime) name markings, black headstock decal vs white, front strap connect location, caramel burst finish vs cherry burst, and it was made in Indonesia vs Korea.  I've seen spec listings that indicate an ebony fretboard vs rosewood that is used on the Stealth Pro, but it's not a consistent black that I'm accustom to with other guitars that I own.  I'm aware that there's darkness variation in ebony wood depending on where is comes from.  So... It could be ebony.  The shape behind the neck joint and the neck follow the Dime 3 design.  All in all... It's a pretty sweet guitar.  A big THANK YOU goes out to forum member '87 Rampage' for helping me to find a hard case for it.

I’ve just added this Snow Camo 333 (WE333SC) to my multitude of guitars…  It’s fortunately in pretty good shape.  The setup was ridiculously horrible as received, but I’ve made adjustments to my liking.  The pickups had been upgraded to active Seymour Duncan Blackouts, but I’m not very impressed and will likely replace them with a Dimebucker and 59 combination.

I also bought a F.M. Polka Dot 333 about 3 months ago.  I’m in the process of doing some repairs and upgrades to it.  I’ve been too busy with other factors of my life, but I’ll have a few photos to share in the near future.

A previous owner put in the Blackouts (AHB-1s).  I might replace them.
