Title: Washburn overload
Post by: tom136 on February 08, 2010, 02:08:38 PM
Ok Folks,
Here's several pics of my collection.[:p]
Washburns are on the couch and are from left to right:
G300S, F42S, WB400SWR, F52SWCE and WD44S Koa.
Should be a top shot and a back shot.
Also included is a shot of the remainder of the collection. Lots form Vietnam ... went through an inlay phase about five years ago. The voicing quality of the instruments was so impressive I haven't been able to part with any yet.
Finally, There is a shot of the WB400SWR and F52SWCE that are up for sale . $300.+ Shipping each will take these. 1-1/2 yr .Light Couch/ finger-style on both is the only play they have seen.
Hope you enjoy as I have

Beauties Tom! Would you happen to know what type of finish was used on the WB400?

Thanks,

Looks to me to be UV cured Poly. So many water base materials out there now as well. I have a Taylor 414ce that has a finish that looks and feels extremely similar and I believe that is UV cured poly. I understand that Poly had always been frowned upon due to the thickness factor but latest is that it is now desirable Because of the computer aided / micro spray-ionization / UV-dry process. They now have the ability to apply as thin as Nitro.

A pretty and deep look!

Cheers
