Title: ID Help? Festival EA Series maybe?
Post by: DalyTek on May 31, 2011, 02:09:28 PM
I'm looking for help in identifying my Washburn acoustic/electric.

It has an Equis Standard preamp (on the lower bout) that says DTC-S Artec Sound Electronics Co. Patent Pending on the circuit boar underneath. It's got a sharp horn by the cutout, and an oval sound hole. Front, back and neck are cream bound. Dot inlays with 2 dots at the 7th and 12th. No inlay on the headstock or around the sound hole.

The sticker inside the sound hole is missing.  I'm trying to figure out what model this is and about how old it is if possible.

It looks like an EA series model of some sort to me.  The overall shape looks like the EA9B,  but the preamp is on the lower bout on my guitar, and all the pictures I see of the EA9B show a totally different preamp on the upper bout.

Any help with ID would be immensely appreciated!  Thanks!
