Title: Need help identifying model of banjo
Post by: carol301 on December 28, 2013, 01:57:51 AM
My dad passed away, had a Washburn banjo that I finally have the courage to look at. It has an eagle insignia on the back, appears to be maple. I have no idea the year or model - can you tell me anything about the insignia? Perhaps that will give a clue to the model.

if you share pictures of the said guitar, it would be much easier for someone knowledgeable to tell you what it is.  you can make an account in www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) and create an album of the guitar... Please post clear full profile pictures of guitar front and back.  FRONT: body, close up of bridge, the entire neck, the headstock.  From BACK: body, base of neck, neckplate, neck, back of headstock tuners.  This should give better picture and serve as documentation of ownership.  I strongly recommend DO NOT list your actual location, general State or county, etc... example: Linden, NJ.

Ok, hope to see some pictures.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
