Title: WT-92 preamp issues
Post by: pistol7720 on April 05, 2015, 05:57:06 PM
Hello, name's Peter -  I bought a nice D10SCE second hand and have been loving it. have since refretted it with jumbo fret wire....Play's like dream now....

Anyway...I plugged my D10 into the sound system  and when I went to turn on the tuner I noticed that the low battery light on my WT-92 preamp was on , so I got a fresh 9-volt and put it in, but to my surprise the low battery light stayed lit. The green light comes on when I turn on the tuner, but no numbers or indicator lights. If I press the note button I can get a number to show on the display, but no indicator light. I tried four other brand new 9-volt batteries and got the same result. The worst part is that I'm also getting no output from the preamp into the sound system.

So question: Has anyone else ever had this problem? I've read about issues with the WT-92 on this forum, but I couldn't find any solid information about replacing the WT-92 or where to buy a replacement.....a Simple fix or repair would be nice...Please help
