ship, no it's just turquoise sparkle. Which is fine with me…I'm not a big fan of birds eye maple. I know, just shoot me! :)

Anyway…I'm going to see if I can come up with a nice design for a pearloid pick guard. And possibly change the tuners to pearloid, too!

OK, keep collecting those coins!

AHA! My daughter said it was an "S"…and we didn't believe her…

VERY good information everybody, I REALLY appreciate it!
Much less confused now :)

BTW, this guitar SMOKES when played through my Bose system!

I had a EA20 with an Equis II in the early 90's. The Gold was definitely not a predecessor to it, but an evolution…a step up.
It is much better and more sophisticated. Inside, it says EA36. If it was an earlier model, it would have been called Marquee or EA46.
AND…it would only have six sound channels. Mine definitely has nine! :)

Or…am I totally wrong and missing something here?

Ok, I can live with that! :)
All I wanted, was an inexpensive Ac/El that played really well.
This one is all that, and more!
I've owned the EA20B, the RR150 (black too…the electronics were NOT very good in it).
And in 2002 I bought a EA18TBS which had big setup/playability issues too, in the beginning. I really loved the Bband system, but it eventually crashed.
At the time, I had no money to fix it, so it went to the pawnshop…and never came back :(.

I think the festival is my all-time favorite series of guitars….just try to stay away from the lower numbers.

Thank you guys so much for chiming in!

Thank you! All those little info pages and pdf's of catalogs are awesome, but confusing when every year is not represented... made my head spin :)

Anyway, it seems i found my color on the 1997 price list!
SPT - SPARKLE TURQUIOSE
It was REALLY hard to read the serial number because of the sparkle, but between my 10yr old daughter, my wife and myself, we have determined that it
is 86126043. So…I'm even more confused right now! lol

Last week i found this at my local GC for $300. I HAD TO have it!
Since it has a Equis Gold preamp, I'm GUESSING it's a '96…or thereabouts.
Anyway, it's hardly been played! The frets are in pristine condition.
I have never seen this color on any EA model before, and the only one I could find of any Washburn was of a hollowbody electric.
So…I'm guessing it may have been a custom order.
Yes, it's a laminate…and it's perfect!
In the early 90's I had a black EA20 with Equis II. Still wonder why I got rid of it…maybe because of all the hair bands using them on MTV's "Unplugged"  :)

This guy here…is a guitar worth it's weight in gold.
If you have seen this color before or have comments, please post!
Neck straight, electronics work just fine…my new gig machine!
