Just the same way as on Talkbass forum you could use a web image and copy the address between the bracket after you press the insert image (first one on the second row of icons on the message editor tool) but you can't download a picture, so use the picture image that you already post on Photobucket (I tried directly from the Talkbass Washburn Club thread and it don't want to work but I have no problems with Photobucket link)

Bantam Basses / Re: How Do I Know Which Model I have?

Good afternoon Briwac,

If you go on the FAQ Washburn web page, you'll see that Washburn don't keep old parts and you'll have to replace it on third party market. Go on eBay and look at wiguitar seller, he have a lot of NOS Washburn parts. Other wise, if you're lucky you'll could find an use one (I think that I saw an XB-102 or XB-120 that have been take a parts and the guys sold the different parts separately on eBay UK. You could also find a similar pot on the third party that could fit. Any way you'll lost nothing to ask Washburn support for advises, who knows!

Bantam Basses / Re: Restoring an XB-600

Good evening Steve,

and congratulation for your bass, now to get it back in it original conditions could be hard. The best bet for you is to go on eBay make a search on Washburn bass pickup and you surely found wiguitar seller. This guy got the best inventory of Washburn parts, pickups, bridges, tuners and nuts. I am sure that he had XB-600 parts in the past but I know that he sold a lot of parts recently. I also saw a seller (nam97) who sell a lot of Taurus series tuners that surely fit on the XB-600 as it's gotoh style like the original ones. That's my best advises and I hope it help you. You can also go on TalkBass Washburn owners club thread to get some infos.

Good luck!

Now that the Stu Hamm series is gone, there is only the Taurus series that is over 10 years old now. Could we expect a new bass model in a near future? The Stu Hamm series was good basses and it's a pity that it's gone even if Stu is leaving Washburn.

Good evening,

I got an MB-8 with the same pups and preamp, maybe I could make some picture of the electronic cavity, it could help. I don't have the bass with me this week-end, so I make the pictures next monday and came back to you there after.

Hi Irishman_377,

Your serial number (N0001555) indicate that this bass was built in year 2000, so it's surely not a 1976 bass. Anyway in 1976, Washburn did not produce bass guitar. If you post a picture or a link to pictures, we could identify your bass and give you an estimated value.

Bantam Basses / Re: WB900 Neck Replacement
« on: February 16, 2014, 10:06:39 PM »
XB-900 got their own neck that are different from the other XB series (the imported one) but maybe you could fit one with some modification. There is an XB-400 neck available on ebay now, if you are good in mods you could buy it and try. I found a CB-14M (Classic Bass series) on ebay last fall and an XB-200 fretless in ebay also and the neck pocket of the CB accept the XB neck but the luthier got to carve the CB body to fit the strange bottom of the XB neck. Otherwise you'll pay an arm and a leg to fit any other neck that won't look as a XB original neck. Good luck!

Your bass is an XB-900-JJ, look at the 1999 price list that you can found on this link ( I got a XB-900-PJ myself and it's a great bass with the active EMG pick-ups, Enjoy!
