Welcome Speller!  Nice early Mahogany Woodstock.  Can you check inside for another group of numbers?  Should be near or on the base of the neck.  GT

Welcome ih8brakes!  Can you provide a little more detail about your guitar.  Type of wood, EQ, other?  Without any pictures, I would say that it is probably all mahogany, and has 2 EQ control knobs.

Yes, your case is an original Festival case, that would have cost extra.

EA-46's didn't have a sound hole.  They used 6 slots, like an EA-36.

Hello Vindicator, your festival a special edition EA-40.  Very nice buy, especially in Europe!  This should have still been made in Japan.  Enjoy!

Welcome!  Nice find, it looks like it's in nice condition for being almost 40yo.

Great buy!  One of the earlier (late 70's-early 80's) Festivals.  If there is no other stamped serial number inside, it's probably because it was repaired after it was imported.  All mahogany.  MSRP in 1980 was $449.

Welcome Zero G!  Can you provide any more info on you Monterey?  Does it have any other writing on the inside?

Currently 35! 21 acoustic-electrics (mostly Festivals).  10 electrics (mostly Jazz models).  3 acoustics, and 1 resonator.  Mostly from the 80-90's.  I used to have them all listed in my profile, but it looks like the new format wiped them out.

Nice HB!  Were you able to find any serial #?

Not an EA-46.  It looks like a special edition EA-40, #46. from 1989-90.  Probably due to the finish, maybe also the wood.

Festival Series / Anyone know how many EA22 were produced?

I've seen serial numbers for the EA22 that have gone up to 1472.  So, probably at least 1500.

Festival Series / EA36K from 92, Value?

Welcome Mikey! Is your guitar an EA36 or an EA36K?  They are different.  One easy way to find out is to see what EQ does it have.
