Festival Series / I've got a Festival number...
« on: December 01, 2011, 07:52:20 AM »
I don't have the guitar right in front of me.... but here is the description I got ....  George Washburn logo is stamped (burned)on the inside looking through the sound hole on the 'center strip' back piece and 'Woodstock' written in ink just to the right of logo. Then the serial number starts with... P? (smudged) 88486 is on the forward 'back brace' in ink. The logo is also burned into the upper back side of the head.  It also has the wood grain base for the two (tone/vol) control knobs. I believe I saw a deep red mahogony (same as this one) guitar on one of the pictures here.... I will post mine shortly but that's about all I can give you now. Hope this helps enough to figure out the year..?? Does anyone know if they came with or even offered a HSC?
Thanks for any help.....!! [:p]

Festival Series / Festival 'Woodstock'

[:)]Hello to my new friends here.... I've been reading some articles on these festival series guitars, concerning the serial numbers and am quite confused. I just purchased an oldie from the early 80's, as told.... but there is no serial number inside. Would someone please tell me if this means it's about that old or even the real thing???
Also if $250 was a fair price for very good condition and with hsc.? I'll put up some pics when I figure how to get them on. If you have any input for me.... it is appreciated.
