not going into any detail, we punted on many of them

If you have questions about the condition, email the seller.  I can't speak for them anymore.

that flamed mahogany on the neck is stunning

realistically, you should be able to sell the guitar out right to an individual for approx $1800 to $2000

a NOS version is currently only worth between $2500 and $3k

it is a gorgeous guitar and the back of the neck is insanity! (awesome)

2til is right, you gotta scrub that thing down

remove pickups, hardware, strings, etc and clean it

IF you don't need to sell it, DO NOT.  He is correct in saying that the value will increase over time

put it in the case and forget about it.  (get silica packets to help control the rusting

you also need to clean and condition the fretboard

the other thing you should do is keep your eyes peeled for newer cleaner exact replacement hardware

He always loved Dean, but it came down to $$$$.  He had the opportunity to have more control of his signature models and develop a wide product mix.

there, I said it.

Nope I rang - the guitar is definitely in the UK at Sound Tech (UK Distributors). The rep took it into the shop where they photographed it. Machinehead havent bought it yet but can get it on approval if there is interest.

Apparently they made three prototypes, first went to Nuno, second to the UK and the third ended up at one of the US dealers (Boogie St I'd wager)

WE had it.

WE actually had the opportunity to help design it

there is a bunch more info over there in other threads as well, but if you want to kind of get the scoop on the guitar and you haven't seem much info, you can get more over there.  Sorry to hijack the thread

what I can say at this point, is we are getting more custom product built than we ever have.

Terry Atkins has been turning out the highest quality washburn electrics we have ever had.  While some things do remain up in the air, things are beginning to become a little clearer.

there is a re-design coming to the idol

donegan left us music (both washburn and randall)

there are big things coming.  BIG things.

I think we are going to see import guitars coming down the road that will be hard to distinguish from usa made product

I would buy the vintage just to have the OFR, and thinner neck. However, the first thing I would have to do is bust out the sand paper and remove that horrid fake relic job.

you don't have to now that washburn has reissued the davies spec'd n4 original

thinner neck (davies neck) with davies rolled shelf on the top of the SEC and OFR
