Maybe I was out of line. All I meant was why are you guys always out to pick a fight, you are fellow forum members from way back. Share the love. Look at China, their media is controlled(think the word here is Censorship) to a point where they don't even know about Chinamin Square(not sure of spelling but you get the point). Could it be that the rest of the world gets the true story? I agree some countries need help, but it seems that the only countries that are getting help are the ones with oil or other camodities. Personally I feel sorry for countries that that have nothing to steal. My question would be, why is it that America seems to be the target of many attacks? There must be some reason(Yes most likely a poor reason, but a reason none the less).

As for America having our back if there is a problem.(Now everyone is going to gritt their teeth). A few random words, Free Trade, Military support. Do you have any idea how pissed Bush was when we said we didn't agree with what he was doing in Iraq. I respect all of you here, and yes you seem to break the Stereotypical American mold. Maybe it's just over here we don't trust Government types, we are taught to question everything we are told. We are free to say what we want about our Government(remember the picture of bush that got removed?).

The comment about racial issues relates to a few things I have seen.
When Katrina came through, the people of New Orleans had to wait more than a week for help. I've seen pictures, it still looks like a warzone more than a year on. When there are fires, or tornados in other parts, help is there straight away. Don't tell me race has nothing to do with it. To me from an outsider looking in, it doesn't seem like people are there to help eachother, more, I'll help you if you have something I want.
Ship, delete this once read, all I'm doing is venting. It just pisses me off that some people (Sorry Ship, you're included in this) get so bogged down in he said, she said. There are far worse things in the world, so lets work on making them better, not worse.
I'm going back to delete last post. Yep, I'm deleting it, it's not Ship messing around with the system.

I'm sorry if I offended everyone(uses everyone, instead of anyone).

It's all cool. We get a bit skitish when we could have a possible heckler in our midst. Some of these young kids come on with their SMS TXT syle lanuage, bad grammar etc. Then they start abusing forum members for not replying within 30 seconds of their post. Welcome to the forum. When you get some pics be sure to post them in our, Show us your Washburn Section.

General Discussion on Washburn Electric Guitars / Top of headstock cut off?
« on: February 06, 2008, 01:18:33 AM »
Yeah, I'd take that description that was on ebay with a grain of salt. It's gotta be pretty bad for them to cut off the headstock logo. Like I said before, there are many liars around, too bad I cannot mention names.

I'm not surprised by that bigoldron. Just a note though in case you missed it. We aparently are not allowed to mention names of Washburn dealers anymore. Looks like someone decided he would threaten legal action once again. I mean, dude he's said he makes over a million a year, so why is he complaining?

I've seen a few stamped 2 on ebay also. They are also B'stock, but we've all seen them mentioned that they are stamped because they are prototype models, and other such lies.

It generally means it is a really bad second. The headstock is generally cut off so that the manufacturer has nothing more to do with it(I guess somewhat ashamed, and doesn't want warranty issues). This is not to be confused with the standard X, or B stamped in the back of the headstock, this also says second.

Discuss Basses and Bass Playing / Washburn Bantam Bass
« on: January 29, 2008, 07:41:57 PM »
Hum, rare I would say not. That style is definately 80's. I have a friend here in Australia who has one, so they can't be that rare. Keep in mind I got my XB120(I think that's the model number) here in Australia for 410AUD including a hard case.
Hope that helps in some way.

I also have the same bass, along with a washburn EA18TS(acoustic), and a Jackson Electric. You're right, for the price they are a decent bass, especially when run through a proper amp. You wouldn't happen to reside in Sydney by any chance?

General Discussion on Washburn Electric Guitars / parts of a guitar?????

At first sight it may, but the headstock isn't like that. This one seems to have a hook, like a eagles beak.

I think you need to undo the nuts on the pots and remove them to test them with a multimeter, I don't think they will be accessible inside the guitar.

Yeah, straight out copies those look to be. I think people will just see them as Casino fake fenders, or in this case Washburn fake Ibanez/jackson. I have a Jackson, but man these make it look pretty. I love the crown headstock(and really hate the notch thingys on the D10's).
