Actually Steven Davies closed down shop, and is now under the employ of Washburn, or so Ive heard. I live in Seattle and an aquaintance of mine owns a Steven Davies extended cutaway from Steven's shop.  It is a bolt-on neck and I think only has 24 frets, he is who I got that info from.

BTW Chris, although it does say George signature series on the headstock, it is actually called an EC36 (extended cutaway) I own two of them and they control my soul.

One of my close friends is an apprentice at Floyd Rose guitars (yes he is manufacturing his own line and they kick ass) and he is learning all about the design and manufacture of guitars from J.T. Riboloff, head of research and development for development for Gibson all through the 90's (and a true legend within the industry, built the SG's with the cross inlays for Tony Iomii, and personally worked on guitars for John Lennon).  But anyway I was talking about who should give mine fret jobs when the time comes and he explained the process to me, and basically pretty much anyone who is competant at fret jobs should be able to do the EC36's with just a little more effort than normal, so just take it to a local guy that you know is good and it should be OK.

If anyone has Adobe audition or cool edit pro maybe we can take turns recording tracks.  I will start laying down some blues drums and rythm guitar and see how it goes from there.  Keep in mind that the file size will be pretty big so if anyone knows a free place for big file exchanges that could help.

By the way, I live in Seattle and was /am the guitarist of a fairly well known metal band (in the process of reforming)but things are moving kind of slow right now and I need something to get my creativity focused.

I own two Washburn EC-36 guitars and they are screaming for some jams besides me sitting in front of the TV with a guitar in my lap.

I too am in Seattle.  I own two Washburn ec-36 (killer) guitars and am in Assault and Battery(inactive for a while but on the verge of showing this lame town of hippies how to kill once again)anybody know of a shredding metal drummer that is worthy and not married with children around here?
