Keep the hunt going guys.  There are new Washburns out there.

Hey Rocket,

You mentioned you had a Tacoma JK28CE4.  How do you like her?  I worked at Tacoma for 12 years.

It's not a special run for FunkyMunky.  This will be part of the 09 lineup.  I have some on the way.

You guys are right on track.  I do not approve of how you were treated in your quest for a custom WD84SW.  I don't know what to say to make it better.  Thanks for trying to be a loyal customer.

I really appreciate that.  We're not so bad once you get to know us.

Hey Nick....why are only certain models of the Washies available in Canada?  Does this hold true also for the rest of the world, or is my local dealer giving me rotten goods?....SteveC

I'm going to foward this to our Canada Sales Manager.  He may be able to answer this better than me.

Several dealers down in L.A. it looks like, but none here. If I were to ask at my local music stores for them to carry Washburns, what's the best contact for them to use?

I sent you an email with contact info.  Let me know if you have any success with dealers.

Rocket and Dugly,
We really appreciate your feedback.  I love that you are going to dealers and asking for Washburn.  Keep it up.  Maybe if they get more requests for Washburn, they will stock more of our guitars.  As for quality, check it for yourselves while you're shopping.  We are constantly trying to improve.  Anybody interested in visiting the WB factory and warehouse to see how we feel about quality?

Can you tell me what case fits the new, thicker Pilsen XL models? My WI70 shipped with a GB4 gigbag, but recently I tried to upgrade and buy either the GC40 or GC31R hardshell case...but both were too shallow to fit the guitar.I really want the added protection and security of a quality hardshell, but it looks like nothing currently offered fits the thicker XL models.Btw,I absolutely love my black WI70 Pilsen XL.Anything currently offered or in the works,Washburn guys?

The case you want is the GC37WI.  This is what the thick idols ship in now.

BTW, I tried to PM you the link, but there is no contact information provided in your profile.  It is very handy to have a contact link there for moderators (I recently PM'ed a moderator about a particularly offensive post from a new member, it seemed to have slipped past their attention for some reason, Ryan fixed the problem by deleting the offensive post and banning the member, thank goodness!).  Would you consider revising your profile to list some contact information, please?

My question is this...why would you discontinue such a good product when the reason it didn't sell is lack of advertising and in-store availability? Classical models seem to be hitting a good stride, evidence Ebay. I have several close friends who have been in music for a long time, and half or more of them love classical guitars. To have a product such as yours...and I am waiting to learn the price...that could potentially beat the pants off many high end classical guitars out there at a better price and not put it out there to sell is, well, criminal...don't you think? I suggest keeping it another year, but this time put it out there, in stores, in ads. Both versions would do well.

I will consider your comments.  Thanks for your passion.

Somebody at Washburn grab a digital video camera, find someone(?) there who can play a guitar, take some live video of those The Bluegrass models in action, and post them up here on the forum. Don't forget to turn the mic on so we can hear it.

I'll see if we can do this.

The C124SW is shown on the website in the Acoustic section, upper right corner.  Sadly, there is no prodcut info.
Go to your local dealer and ask them to order the C124SWCE.

I'm trying to help.  I just sent an email to Sales about the dealer locator.  We'll look into it.  We do have dealers in Florida and yes i know who they are.  I was trying to find out if you had a local dealer that you would like to deal with.  If not, it would help to know your general area so i can tell you who to go to.  We've alread spoken to one dealer in Florida who says he would bring one in for you but i don't know how close you are to him.

EA46 was made in Korea i believe and it looks like 1992.
