I'll check with out parts guy.  The HB33DM was sold in Europe only but we may have a few parts.

I think Rudy will be 68 on October 5th.  In case anybody cares.

I agree with Rocket that it was beer.

Yeah, Stacy's a good guy but I didn't know he was Deltacaster, or maybe I just forgot.
But I didn't think Stacy was with Washburn anymore.
And I didn't know DC was still a moderator.
And where is Nick?
Do we still have Nick?
And while I'm at it, where are my pants?

I'm here.  I'm leaving for China next week and i have alot of work to do between now and then so i'm not sure how much i'll be able to contribute for the next few weeks.  I'll check in now and then though.

I sent your post about not having a dealer within 60 miles to our VP of sales.
Thanks for your input.  We will definately offer EMGs and Duncans if we do a USA XM guitar.  We will probably offer a flame or quilt top version as well.  We are discussing details now and whatever we decide will be released at January Namm.

and mahogany.

I admit that we were short on marketing for the last several years but things are changing.  We are putting alot more money into that department.  Keeping in mind that we didn't do alot of marketing in general, the WM526 got way more than its share of ads and reviews.

As to who gave feedback on the headstock - all of our dealers who come to Namm shows, who by the way, love the new headstock on the XMs.  Its all subjective.

Hey, Nick
thanks for the response
But one thing, and I think I speak for others(let me know If I am wrong) is that the headstock of the WM526 et al. was one of the positive points of these looks AWESOME!!

Myself, I am a HUGE ESP Horizon Fan......and the ONLY MODEL I have ever cared for out of Washburn has been the WM series
I think It is a HUGE UNFORGIVABLE CRIME to discontinue the coolest looking guitar from you guys

That goes back to what i was saying about taste.  Most of the feedback we got on the WM526 was that we needed to change the headstock.  I'm sorry you were one that liked it.  I'm sure there are still some out in the market.  Maybe you can get one with the old headstock still.

Let me respond.
1) we tend to discontinue whatever doesn't sell.  I agree that we've had some cool models that have been discontinued and for the life of me i can't understand why they didn't sell better.
2) we are currently putting Floyd Rose Specials on all of our FR equipped import guitars.  We will not be using any more licensed bridges.
3) we will be coming out with the next evolution of the WM series in January i believe.  It's called the XM.  It is a little thinner and has a different headstock and it won't have the carbon fretboard but other than that, it looks and feels the same.
4)Boogie Street and Funky Munky have done MANY customs for customers.  You must have been going to the wrong dealers.  Currently its true that we are not focusing on customs because we are trying to get caught up with production.  We will take custom orders again in the near future.
5) Its true that we haven't done neck thrus.
6) There will always be a market for budget guitars.  I don't think ours were overpriced but anyway, we won't be using the Washburn name on the guitars that sell at Walmart, Target, Costco, etc anymore.
7) I listen.  I try anyway.  We may not always be able to do whay you think we should do but that's because we have to try to appeal to as many people as possible.  Not everyone has the same taste.

we may have some new WB USA stuff at January Namm.  Cool stuff.  Also, we're not doing that Disney s**t anymore.

Shiner, WTF.  I go to Memphis for a couple of days and all hell breaks loose. :)

N Series (Nuno Bettencourt) / Special Request

If any of you N4 fans would like to help me with a special project, please email me asap.  Its just a form that i need filled out but i can't post it on the forum.  If you send me an email, i will reply with the attached form.  Unfortunately, this is time sensitive as i need them back by Wednesdsay July 21st.

Yes, that's what i meant.  Sorry, i left out USA between Washburn and acoustics.

Yes, i will do other body styles but started with DN.  Yes, i realize we need to get these into the hands of our dealers.  I think Rocket was referring to the D64SW not being available in any stores.  I've priced these well enough that i don't think that will be a problem.  We have also stepped up our marketing (you should be seeing alot of Washburn in magazines) and we have been running alot of promotions.  The All Solids will start at $499.  I am working on trying to make Washburn acoustics again but no promises.
