I have a 12-string dreadnought cutaway with the serial number 9211035.
I guess that means it was built in 1992? Did Washburn manufacture them in China or or in some other asian country back then?

The model seems to be D-12CE-12TS
Best regards
Bengt

I'm new here and new to Washburns, but not new to guitars. This post should tide you over until a more knowledgeable poster comes along.

They've been making them in Asian country's since at least the late 70's, starting in Japan. What model is yours? It is a 92. If Washburn is anything like the other guitar companies, the best stuff is made in USA, followed by Japan, then Korea, then Taiwan, then China. Although in recent years, there is little difference in quality regarding the country of origin--the wood doesn't care where the CNC machine is.

Actually they started making Washburns in 1974 when Beckmen brought back the name from hybernation, they first started in Japan and have made others in a few other countries also in Asia.ship
