So Bob Marley, have you electrified your Rover?  Would you believe the entire world is anxious to hear...No? well, would you believe most of the east coast of the United States?  How about me and my shadow?

Mr. Marley has had success, and at his suggetion, I went ahead and ordered my ROMP.  I ordered it this past Tuesday and got it yesterday (Friday)!  That was way fast!  Bobmarley's install went easily.  Mine took some effort.  I don't know if anyone mentioned this before, but I think there are two versions of endpins for the Rover.  When I got my ROMP microphone/pickup, the instructions spoke of a slotted endpin and using the special 'wrench' that comes with the ROMP to remove the old endpin.  My endpin was a simple smaller plastic one with a single small Philips head woodscrew holding it in place.  The instructions indicated the existing hole was the same size as the ROMP.  Mine was the size of a small philips head woodscrew!  So, I went over to my Dad's house (he has a really nice woodshop) and we found the appropriate drillbit and overdrilled a hole that fit the ROMP.  It was really tight, we used a 1/2 inch drillbit.  We had to use a small rasp to open it up just a little bit more.  But, the short story is (too late it seems!) MY ROVER IS ELECTRIFIED!  I hooked it up to my Roland Microcube and had a good time.  It does need a feedback buster.  I picked up some scrap leather to practice with.  I hope to make a custom carved soundhole cover over the next few days.  If I can figure out how to post pictures from Picasa Web albums, I'll try to post photos.  I don't know how else to host pictures on the internet...maybe facebook?

Thanks evenkeel...how about this?

THis is the finished product, with my old endpin sitting on top.  Now I'm going to work on my Feedback Buster...
