Washburn Guitars Introduces New Line of Basses with the CB Series

Chicago, IL – January 12, 2007 – Washburn Guitars is pleased to introduce its new line of basses with the Classic Bass series. The CB series all feature mahogany bodies with exotic carved wood tops, active pickups, maple necks, Grover Tuners, the Buzz Feiten Tuning System, and ebony fingerboards, allowing effortless playability and superior tone.

Exotic wood tops and finishes available include Flamed Maple, Cocobolo, Spalted Maple, Ovangkol & Satin Black.

The Washburn CB series will include the CB14 4 string, CB15 5 string, and CB16 6 string basses.

  Very nice looking bass. Could you tell me if this is neck through or bolt on. I am a very big fan of washburn basses and would like to have one but need to know this first. I have already talked to my dealer and he is checking for me also. But either way I am almost positive this will be in my Collection.

Any word when the CB basses will be shipped to dealers?
