Posted - 11/02/2009 : 11:12:11 AM Can someone identify this guitar. A person who sells it does't know the model. The only chance is to get to this through the serial number. How do you assess the guitar in comparison to other similar with a comparable price. I want to know the full specification and the country where it was.

Posted - 11/08/2009 : 12:06:08 PM I don't know if I can help you much.
But I can tell you one thing with almost certainty: The "C" in your serial number sure-as-heck don't stand for Chicago! If it did, I've got a couple of great sounding Washburns, made in China, that would've been built in Chicago. And I am shocked that a dealer or even a salesman would tell you such a thing!!

Posted - 11/07/2009 : 06:52:22 AM Thanks for help. The seller claims that C is Chicago, not China.
I'm also interested in another models.
1. Mercury II S/N 3101004 http://www.allegro.pl/show_item.php?item=803808664 I only know the model - nothing else. What wood? Where was done?
2 WG580 http://www.allegro.pl/item804380352_washburn_wg_580_zobacz.html The serial number can be seen in one of the photos of the link. I have the same questions as the previous one.
Which of these guitars do you think will be better and whether the change from the Korean Ibanez RG470 with the 90s will not step back.
I apologize for the trouble and I will be grateful for any information.
PS. Sorry for my English. I hope you understand what I ask. ;)

Posted - 11/03/2009 : 04:16:30 AM Hi szymonkas and welcome to the forum. Sounds like the seller has not been truthful about your guitar. If it WAS made in the USA it will have a serial number stamped into the wood on the back of the headstock. |

Posted - 11/02/2009 : 5:04:38 PM Seller told me that this is a guitar manufacturing in U.S., bought the Chicago Washburn Guitar Shop, and year of manufacture is 1999. |
