Posted - 11/02/2009 : 10:35:54 AM HEy all, been a while since i last visited this forum. I sold my N2, then started getting burny withdrawals so when I spotted this MG70, I jumped on it.
Some background, she was a bit beat up when I got her, the frets were really stuffed, so i done a complete refret and skimmed the fingerboard a bit bringing it back to its former glory. the frets are stainless steel jumbos polished good n proper. The cheesy see through pick guard was broken so i made a new one out ofblack perspex with a sparkle in it.
I also put in a new locknut and swapped the pups out for seymour duncans. redone all the wiring with new pots and a ceramic capacitor (as used by many a gibson).
Im quite happy with the results. Just waiting on my gold vol and tone knobs to match the other hardware.

thanks for looking folks, glad to be back in the washburn family!

Posted - 11/03/2009 : 08:53:04 AM Nice score guido, and a real nice refurbish on her, should look really sharp with the gold knobs and I think the stainless steel jumbo frets are an especially nice touch should give you that extra for pull offs and hammers and the bends.Ship
